The urgency of the transformation to a sustainable economy is undisputed, and the motivation is great. In the spirit of Hoesung Lee, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, “We are walking when we should be running”, Flughafen Friedrichshafen GmbH has set itself the following climate protection targets:
– 65 % CO2 emissions by 2030 *
– 0 % CO2 emissions by 2040 **
* compared to 2010, Scope 1 and Scope 2

The following chart shows the development of CO2 emissions. CO2 emissions have already been effectively reduced thanks to the continuous improvement of environmental performance as part of the EMAS environmental management system.
